Zone B Data Plans

There are two sets of countries where Zone B data plans are offered. The “Advantage Data Allowance” countries have a data allowance twice as large as the “Standard Data Allowance” countries. The maximum monthly data allowance in the “Advantages Data Allowance” countries is 2000 MB, while the maximum monthly data allowance in the “Standard Data Allowance” countries is 1000 MB. All 4 types of Data Plans are available in all countries where the data Plans are offered.

If the data Plan is entirely consumed within the Plan time period, a new Data Plan can be purchased again immediately. You can also schedule a Data Plan for Plus SIM to activate on a future date, as well as set up automatic extension of the Data Plan.

To activate a Data Plan, log in to your OneSimCard account and go to the My SIM Cards menu. Scroll down to the Discount Plan section, select the Plan and click Activate. The cost of the Plan will be deducted from the SIM card balance. If there is not enough money on the SIM, you will need to add funds before you will be able to activate the Plan.

PLEASE NOTE:

• Once you activate any Data Plan, the amount charged is not refundable.
• Data not being used up during the Plan period will be lost. Any Turbo Plan Data unused by this time, will be lost too.
• After the Data Plan expires, i.e. the time period ends or you use up your data allotment, you will be charged the standard data rate in that country unless you activate a new Data Plan.
• Data will be charged in 100kB increments instead of the usual 1 or 10kB increments.

2. Ordering Questions How do I order Discount Call, Text and Data plans? You can order discount Call, Text and Data packages from your OneSimCard web account after you have received and activated your OneSimCard.  NOTE: for DataMax and DataMax eSIM, there are no call or text messaging discount package, since these are already deeply discounted through the 1SIM VoIP App. To order a discount package for your SIM card, follow these steps: Log into your account at OneSimCard.com Click on the My SIM Cards menu links If you have more than one SIM card, make sure the SIM Card you’d like to activate a discount package for is selected Navigate to the Discount Service Plans section and select a discount package you would like to activate Click Activate Now to activate the selected package immediately or Activate Later to schedule the activation on a particular date.   Future data plan activation: a. You can set up the maximum number of times data packages to be activated automatically when the package is used up or expired. b. You can set the date after which no packages will be activated, so when your travel is over no data packages will be activated and no charges will follow. Note: eSIM World data plan activation may vary from regular Universal or Expedition SIM cards. Please follow directions on the account page. There are two ways you can do this: For eSIM World you can use the 1SIM eSIM app. From your mobile go to ma.onesimcard.com. This provides the access to your free  OneSimCard mini account. Free means that there is no need to have the SIM balance or data package on the SIM to be able to access this page in over 110 countries. Log in to your account and activate a new data package. 2. From any computer log in to your on-line account at OneSimCard.com to order a data package.  Simply go onto your web account or eSIM app and purchase a new data package appropriate to your travel needs. 4. Rates and Cost Questions How often do I need to recharge my OneSimCard account? For Universal E, Expedition E, eSIM World E, eSIM Asiania, Plus, Europe & More, & Standard SIM Cards, the international SIM card phone number and account will expire if no outgoing usage is made for 12 months. The outgoing usage could be any of the following: Call made from the phone, SMS sent from the phone or any Data Usage. Personal Extra Numbers will stay active as long as they have been funded properly. The SIM card balance is valid for 10 months. The balance will continuously roll over to the next 10 month period provided that at least $25 is added within 10 months after the last recharge. If the balance expires, the service can still be used after a new recharge of the SIM card. For Physical 3-in-1 DataMax & DataMax eSIM SIM Cards, the SIM card and account will expire if no outgoing usage is made for 12 months. The outgoing usage could be any of the following: Call made from the OneSIM VoIP App, SMS sent from the OneSim VoIP app or any Data Usage. Personal Extra Numbers will stay active as long as they have been funded properly and the SIM hasn’t expired. If the SIM card expires, but then is restored ($10 Restoration Fee applies), the PEN will be re-attached to the SIM card, as long as the PEN hasn’t expired based on the time period for which the PEN was purchased. The SIM card balance is valid for 10 months. The balance will continuously roll over to the next 10-month period provided that at least $25 is added within 10 months after the last recharge. If the SIM card balance expires, the SIM will expire and be removed from the account after 7 days, unless there is a data package currently active on the SIM (not a future activation). If there is no balance on the SIM and the active data package expires, the SIM will expire 7 days following the expiration of the active data package. So, to keep the SIM active you need to either keep a balance on the SIM or an active data package. An expired SIM can be restored for a $10.00 restoration fee plus a recharge of at least $25.00.   5. Rates and Cost Questions I used a large amount of data  even though I barely used data, what happened? Each mobile data session is charged for a minimum of 10kB usage. Even if you check just one 3k email you will be charged for 10kB of usage. In some countries this can be over 30¢ per session, however in Europe and elsewhere it can be as little as 1¢. Check all rates.    Each mobile data session is charged for a minimum of 100kB usage. Even if you check just one 3k email you will be charged for 100kB of usage. Please note: Some phones, like iPhones, Androids, and other smartphones, can access data without you even knowing it if you have data enabled. We strongly recommend checking the settings on your phone and disable mobile data roaming if you will not be needing data service. By default, all SIM cards are pre-programmed with data service enabled, once you activate your data package.   6. OneSim VoIP Can I use OneSim VoIP over the Internet Data offered by OneSimCard SIM? Will it save me anything? In countries where the cost of using mobile Internet Data is below 20 c/MB, the cost of using SIM VoIP over the data is comparable or less than the actual calling rate from the country. As a rule of thumb, the SIM VoIP will use 1MB /Min of talk time. So, if the cost of Data in the country is 10 c/MB, then 1 minute SIM VoIP call will cost you 12 cents /minute. You need to have a 3G connection in order for SIM VoIP to work this way.  7. Troubleshooting Questions What should I do if my OneSimCard phone or SIM card is lost or stolen? If your phone or SIM card is lost or stolen and automatic recharge is on, this could be a serious problem. To prevent this, log in to your account and activate the option to block your service immediately after you notice your phone or SIM card is missing. You can find this option in the My SIM Cards menu. Your OneSimCard service for this SIM card number will be instantly blocked. The remaining balance on your lost SIM can be transferred to another SIM card on your account or you can order a replacement SIM card if you would like to keep your phone numbers from the lost SIM. However, the existing data package can’t be transferred to the new SIM card. Alternatively, you can contact customer service online or call 001-617-313-8888 for assistance. 8. Ordering Questions Can I upgrade my Standard SIM to a Universal, DataMax or DataMax eSIM SIM or my regular size SIM to a micro or nano SIM? Yes. If you would like to upgrade your Standard, Plus, Europe & More, Expedition version SIM card to a Universal, DataMax, or DataMax eSIM SIM card, or upgrade a regular size SIM card to a micro-SIM card (for example, to use in an iPhones) then place your order online by selecting the product option on our Mobile Accessories page here.
